About Me

If you are looking for original quirky or alternative rock, with relevant message lyrics, or if you are seeking something reassuring, or validating, that is what I do. I love to write about the quandary of being human in a world where, institutionally so much humanity has been sucked out by greed, and seekers of truth or simply themselves must fight to see through all the programing, the traditions, the role modeling, the labels & fears that started so early in life and bombard us to this day. I now think all of this life is made of miracle. How much miracle-ness do I want ? I want to revel in it. This is my chance.. our chance. That's my fundamental message.

I've had the great fortune of having many rich musical influences early in life, as well as later on. At age eight, I and my two brothers had the privilege of being taken to The Black Hawk night club in San Francisco to see Cal Tjader quintet with Mongo Santamaria. That night changed my life, and I was instantly passionate about percussion and the vibes. We lived in Mexico for two years shortlly after, and I heard a lot of mariachi music as well as Salsa. Percussiveness is still a big part of my life, but I ultimately became a guitarist, proficient enough to play in bands and teach beginners, at least. I've had a lot of experience and some training in recording.
